Dr. Adriana D Bierman
Chilean born, citizen of Israel, she is an experienced multilingual international speaker; a writer, singer, composer and director. She has organized and guided tour groups in Israel for more than twenty years. Has a PhD in Religious Philosophy, has traveled extensively through out the world, leaving disciples in many nations and receiving important recognitions. She made Alyah when she was 11 years old with her family. Her father Professor Hiram Albala, was a major Zionist figure at the time and she inherited the call for the restoration of the people of Israel back to their land and destiny, now especially the Sephardic-Converso Jews to the Negev according to Obadiah 20. Her strong and wise leadership force together with her passionate love and unbeatable creative energy for her land and for the people in the nations, has taken her to be an arrowhead for many projects. Adding one more, she has decided, along with the Broquet Family, to found and release HATIKVAHDANZ so that like a butterfly of hope can fly and take root in the spirit of her people.

Jacques Broquet

French born, superb dancer and choreographer, multi-talented artist-actor, visual artist, lighting  designer and percussionist, founder member of Danzahoy in 1980, the Venezuelan dance company directed by his wife Adriana, was also one of its Associate Artistic Directors for 25 years. Humor and originality are always present in his works. Broquet has received several prizes and recognitions that classify him as one of the most forceful figures of the continental dance scene. A graduate of The Place (England, 1980), his over-flowing talent also encompasses the artistic production area, having become with time, the Staging and Production Director of Danzahoy. At the present, he resides in Israel with his family. Together with his wife, Adriana, and Dr. Bierman, wants to establish HATIKVAHDANZ as a new venue in the dance and theatre scene in Israel.

Adriana Broquet

A visionary artist, choreographer and dance-actress, Founder and Artistic Director of Danzahoy (1980), a Venezuelan dance company that is included among the best of the continent and where she developed her career to the present. In her works she combines   athletic strength and acrobatic mastery with refined aspects coming from the world of dreams, drama, beauty and intimacy.  In 1979, she established the Latin American Dance Center (CLADA), an institution that promotes regional integration and exchange and is the headquarters of the Danzahoy Dance Company and Danzahoy Dance School. She writes poetry and short stories. Has featured conferences and workshops for dancers nationally and internationally. A graduate of The Place, (England, 1978), her versatile and eclectic creativity and unstoppable pioneering energy have made of this sensitive    artist, very aware of her time, an essential figure of the Latin American dance scene. Today, she resides in Israel and, along with her husband, Jacques, and Dr. Bierman, has united efforts to found HATIKVAHDANZ.

Gabriela Broquet

Devoted and ardent young soloist dancer. She answered her call to be a dancer since an early age having lots of exposure within the works of her parents, Jacques and Adriana Broquet, in Danzahoy, the Venezuelan dance company they directed for over 25 years. Gabriela began her studies monitored by her own parents and then went to Mexico to the Escuela Profesional de Danza Contemporánea de Mazatlán, where she graduated. She then danced professionally with Danzahoy and Rastro Dance Company, locally and in international tours, for variou seasons. Performed her own creative project called “Little Stories” (Pequeñas Historias) composed of five fine, fresh, humoristic and ingenious choreographic works. She is also a dance teacher for children with whom she displays her natural talent to communicate with others through joyful and playful movement. Right now, she resides in Israel as a formal member of HATIKVAHDANZ.

Karen Flueckiger

Born and studied in New Zealand, at Otago University, where she received a BA in Community and Family Studies. Then, she moved to Australia where she worked as an administrator of a non-profit organization for six years, along with being a legal secretary with a Jewish firm in Bondi. Now, she resides in Israel where she works as an Executive Administrative Assistant for Dr. Bierman for the last two and a half years and, now, also as the appointed  administrator of HATIKVAHDANZ.
